City not aiming for tax increase to recoup coronavirus losses
Residents of Eastland might have been inconvenienced by the closure of many businesses due to COVID-19 pandemic restrictions, the City of Eastland has taken a serious financial hit.
Brush Arbor Sunday at New Carbon Christ Center
New Carbon Christ Cen ter will have Sunday Services under the Brush Arbor beside the church. At the time this was sent to the press, it appears some of the religious restrictions will be relaxed by Sunday the 26th. The Brush Arbor will allow social distancing with face masks provided by the church if requested.
COVID 19 Update
There are still only 4 confirmed positive cases in Eastland County. Some of you have asked again why the state site lists 3 cases. One of our cases was positive, then repeated in a hospital in Tarrant County and was negative. The regional health director recommended that we still treat as positive. That has been over 4 weeks ago.
Lake Leon Dam could open in 2022
After more than four years of paperwork and reviews, the Eastland County Water Supply Board finally delivered some encouraging news to county residents. The Lake Leon dam could re-open to the public with the next 18 months, assuming there are no extended delays in renovation work.
