It might have taken Maegan Kostiha a bit longer than other others to find he perfect career but that hasn’t stopped her from trying. In fact, trials are her dream.
Mr. Rudy Mendoza is the Ranger MS/HS teacher of the month for November. Mr. Mendoza was born and raised in Ranger, Texas. He is a 1968 graduate of Ranger High School and 1972 graduate of the University of North Texas. He spent 19 years teaching and coaching in Fort Worth ISD and has spent the past 30 years teaching at Ranger ISD. Mr. Mendoza currently teaches Spanish at Ranger High School and is a sophomore class sponsor. He enjoys all levels of football especially the Ranger Bulldogs and Dallas Cowboys. Hobbies include working with his horse Jiggs, riding around with his dog Bandit, collecting coins, and keeping up with politics. Mr. Mendoza is a great asset to Ranger ISD!
Zachary Burgess is the Ranger High School Senior of the Month for November. Zach is the adopted son of Stephen and Kathy Burgess. He was born in Texas, moved to Mississippi, and relocated back to Texas in 2019. He has attended Ranger for 3 years. Zachary is actively involved in the Woodbridge Church, and senior class activities. Notable awards or accomplishments include A/B Honor Roll and Perfect Attendance. He plans to attend College after graduation. He is very responsible and diligent in his work. He is talented at art, enjoys playing basketball, drawing, dancing, playing video games and listening to music. During his time at Ranger High School, he has gained many friends, and considers the teachers to be an impactful part of his life.
Derrick Worrels knows the facts surrounding his selection as the new Ranger College president. He knows he is the first Black man selected to serve as the college’s president, and that that position will come with many challenges.
