The Ranger Veterans Support Group will meet Tuesday, January 12th. The meeting is from 10:30 to 12 noon at 135 South Homer Street next to the Ranger Library.
Helen Irene Craighead, 87, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, December 20, 2020. Funeral service was held at 10:00 a.m.
Ronald “Ronnie” Harold Bessette was taken from us way too early, in his sleep on December 19, 2020 in Ranger, Texas. Ronnie was born September 12, 1971 in Long Beach, CA.
RANGER – Ethel Oleta (McGough) Crawford, 85, went home to be with the Lord Christmas Eve, 2020 with her family by her side. There will be a Private Family Only service held at a later date.
Senior of the month: Brenda Villarreal Brenda Villarreal is the daughter of Juan Villarreal and Maria Villarreal. She has attended Ranger for 2 years. Brenda is actively involved in Spirit Club, athletics, One Act Play, and Culinary Arts. Her notable awards include: Improvement award in Concert Band, freshman award in Marching, getting to area in marching in freshman year, 1st place in an art contest, 2020 homecoming queen and getting straight ones in band for 3yr. After graduation she plans on going to college to study architecture, building and interior design, animation, literature, and illustration. She plans on coming back to Ranger to fix up the roads and buildings and make Ranger a more beautiful and peaceful place to keep growing and help future generations have an opportunity to bloom in this world. Inspired by Steven Universe, she plans on writing inspiring books and dreams of animating a cartoon to help teach kid’s valuable life lessons to grow up dreaming.
