Pilgrim’s Pride recalls chicken nuggets because of rubber bits

Following a consumer complaint, Pilgrim’s Pride Corp. initiated a recall of almost 60,000 pounds of chicken nuggets from retailers in four states. Although retailers are being instructed to pull the frozen chicken nuggets, there is concern about nuggets consumers may have already purchased, according to a recall notice posted by the USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service).

Thank You

On Wednesday, July 1 at about 9:10 p.m. our grandkids were playing in our yard. They ran in the house and said Travis got bit by a copperhead snake. The older kids found and killed the snake. A large copperhead snake. Our daughter-in-law called Eastland Hospital and they said they had anti-venom for a copperhead. As she was taking Travis to the EM she had a blow out on her van. She called 911 and they sent an ambulance to pick them up. After they got to the EM a highway patrol officer came to her and asked her for her keys to the van. He said I’m going to change your tire and bring the van to the hospital. I want to Thank the State Trooper and Eastland officer for their help. I think that was beyond the call of duty. How lucky we are to have such men in our County.
