Bosque River Chapter of Daughters of Republic of Texas holds meeting

The program for the November meeting of the Bosque River Chapter of Daughters of the Republic of Texas was presented by chapter member Sheran Weible of Dublin. She researches clothing from various periods of history and sews many garments herself. Weible wore a dress of the period of the Republic of Texas, early 1840’s, called a wrapper. It was a dress to be worn around the house but could then be dressed up to wear to town or to social events by the addition of petticoats, under sleeves, a collar, gloves and hat.
