Unprecedented Times

We celebrated the new year on January 1, 2020. We all looked forward to what the new year was going to bring to us. Feb 14 we celebrated the ones we love on Valentine’s Day. Then in March we celebrated with our families Spring Break. Then…before it was over we got the news that we could not meet with family and friends because of some stupid virus. Schools were closed for two weeks. Spring Break was extended, but we could not go any place. Two weeks turned into two more weeks. School buildings would be closed indefinitely, administrators, teachers, students and parents were quickly thrown into a new style of learning. Toilet paper, all paper goods vanished. Cleaning supplies vanished. It was scary. My son had heard so much about empty shelves but we would not allow him to go in public for fear of this virus, we now called Covid-19, Corona Virus, or, around my house, “The Rona!”
