Hummingbirds are still in the area. We have had about 15 to 20 at a time eating off two feeders in our back yard.
Rollin’ Q BBQ is setting up competition level brisket sandwiches and loaded baked potatoes on East Main Street in Eastland. Head chef Dougy Ramsey said he started bringing his award winning BBQ talents to the public in June after COVID-19 made it harder to do food competitions. Rollin’ Q BBQ is open most Thursdays and Fridays and is hoping to add more availability once it cools down and they are not cooking in 125 degree conditions. Prices are $9 for a brisket sandwich combo and $12 for the loaded brisket baked potato combo.
A new food truck is in town, located in Everisto’s parking lot. The truck is a family owned business, ran by Emily Zamora and her husband. They opened several weeks ago.The food truck is called “Tacos 2 go”.The food is very tasty, so stop by, say hi, and grab a taco to go.
