When the Cisco College Wranglers met the New Mexico MIlitary Institute Broncos in Roswell Saturday for the ESPN “Game of the Week,” not even the ESPN announcers could have predicted that the Wranglers would walk away with a 21-10 victory, as the announcers admitted over the air.

1st Quarter Kickoff to Olney made one 1st down and punted to Cisco. Thompson fielded the kick on the Cisco 29. Orsagh made 3 and Hart ran for the 1st down on the Cisco 42. Thompson took a pitch out to the Olney 39. 1st down. Orsagh took it to the 27. 1st down. Silva swept the right end. 1st down on the 3 yd. ln. Pitch back to Hart for the TD. Proffitt made the extra point. It was 7 to 0 with 6:40 left in the 1st Quarter.

1st Quarter Kickoff to Cisco. 1st and 10 on L35. Cole Thompson around LE to the 48; it was a pass/run. 1st and 10. Gus Hart up the middle for 7; a pass to Julius Proffitt was incomplete. 3rd and 3. Hart ran 41 yds around LE for a TD; point was good and it was 7 to 0 Cisco with 10:17 left in the 1st Quarter.

Three Cisco College baseball athletes played in the TX-NM Juco All-Star Games this weekend in Dallas. All sophomores, they are, pictured from left, Evan Roach, Dylan Broadway, and Jonny Lowe. On Friday they won their game 4-3, representing Region 5 North vs Region 14 South.
