FSA Makes Changes to Farm Loan, Disaster, Conservation and Safety Net Programs to Make it Easier for Customers to Conduct Business

COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- March 26, 2020 -- USDA’s Farm Service Agency (FSA) county offices are open in Texas by phone appointment only until further notice, and FSA staff are available to continue helping agricultural producers with program signups, loan servicing and other important actions. Additionally, FSA is relaxing the loan-making process and adding flexibilities for servicing direct and guaranteed loans to provide credit to producers in need.

A different kind of Easter

Churches throughout the county stand empty as we are seeing things we have never seen before Drive inn services, Communion drive through. As we go into Good Friday and Easter Sunday most churches in the area will be doing online church, Radio, Drive inn service. The Easter dinner folks look forward to each year, it won’t be quite the same this year. Social distancing and being home sort of changes things. Lots of travel restrictions and the fact is this virus has shaken and reshaped area in our lives. Easter Sunday is the Sunday that more folks go to church then any other time of the year! To see the bright spot you have to travel back some 2000 years to a grave with nobody in it. The massive stone that had sealed the tomb had been rolled aside and the Tomb was empty.
