Love Oak Pharmacy in Eastland

In 2015 Benjamin McNabb, and his wife Heather McNabb opened a pharmacy called Love Oak. Ben said he started working at the original pharmacy called Eastland drug company when he was in high school. He moved away for a bit after high school and decided to come back and run the business. Inside they have a pharmacy, a deli, and you can get little gifts, and frozen yogurt. The part that is most enjoyable to Ben is the fact that he is living in his hometown, and being able to provide for the community.

City Warns Some Political Signs Are Now Violations

The City of Eastland Code Compliance Department has announced with the passing of time since the March Primaries any political signs still within the city whose candidate is not a part of a runoff election are now considered a violation of City Ordinance Section 19-14.6(b) Off Premise signs. Each sign in violation is a fine of up to $500 per day the sign remains displayed. Citations could be issued to the property owner where a sign in violation of the ordinance is placed. It is the property owner’s responsibility to maintain their property to comply with city ordinances.

Census Day 2020

In mid-March, homes across the country began receiving invitations to complete the 2020 Census. It has never been easier to respond on your own, whether online, over the phone or by mail—all without having to meet a census taker.
