EHS Students tour Appellate Court Museum

Eastland High School/Ranger College dual credit Texas Government students toured the Austin McCloud Appellate Court Museum. The students visited the museum at the conclusion of their unit on the Texas Judiciary.

Deaf Smith Descendant speaks to Eastland Students

Dr. Chris Hull, descendant of Deaf Smith, gave a very informative lessons to a group of 4th and 7th graders at Eastland Marshall Gym. The students heard of good, rich Texas history. People came to Texas from the Colonies and Europe after the American Revolution looking for land to farm and develop. Half way down the Mississippi River was a stop, Natchez, for many including our hero Erastus Deaf Smith and his family who traveled south when he was 11. Photo: Sheila Hickox
