Jersey Brown and Kayle Nichols gave the Eastland Lady Mavericks plenty to smile about last Thursday in front of a large crowd in Dublin. They highlighted a solid showing by the Eastland High School girls track team at the Class 3A Area 7-8 track meet by moving a step closer to the 2021 UIL State Track and Field Championships.

Eastland High School/Ranger College dual credit Texas Government students toured the Austin McCloud Appellate Court Museum. The students visited the museum at the conclusion of their unit on the Texas Judiciary.
The Ranger Veterans Support Group will hold the Veteran’s and Comrades Gathering on Saturday, April 24th. We will start the program at 12 noon. Food will be served.
Dr. Chris Hull, descendant of Deaf Smith, gave a very informative lessons to a group of 4th and 7th graders at Eastland Marshall Gym. The students heard of good, rich Texas history. People came to Texas from the Colonies and Europe after the American Revolution looking for land to farm and develop. Half way down the Mississippi River was a stop, Natchez, for many including our hero Erastus Deaf Smith and his family who traveled south when he was 11. Photo: Sheila Hickox
